Our Pride Committee Rises!

From the ashes, something beautiful takes flight…

Hello again friends! My name is Tubercio Villa, and I am the Committee Head for our Pride Committee. A little bit about myself, I’ve been a Satanist in one form or another for about 10 years now, been on the Cabal Board since the inception of our wonderful congregation, and I’m a lover of most nerdy things. The reason I’m writing this today is to give an update on our upcoming Pride Events. This has been a 5 year process of gathering resources and leads for local Pride gatherings.

Unfortunately, this process has led to a lot of dead ends. Historically speaking, some Pride events we’ve tried to collaborate with in the past have had hesitations to host us. However, we do have some good news in that department; We had our Creative Director, Metztli, be able to attend a planning meeting for the Janesville Pride event (which happens for National Coming Out Day in October). That meeting went wildly well, even learning that Janesville has been watching all the positive initiatives we have been doing in our communities statewide, and they are very excited to work with us! This is an event I really feel we can make real, lasting connections and be able to support our LGBTQIA+ community in a bigger way!

One way I feel we can extend our support is by attending the Janesville Pride Farmers Market on June 13th.  This event is taking place at the Janesville Farmers Market (21 Dodge Street, Janesville, WI 53548) from 8am-1pm.  And, if you are interested in helping out on the Pride committee, we are still looking for a Daily Operator and volunteers.
